ABOUT US
Doubletree Lake Estates is located on the Eastern border of Randoph Street and consists of approximately 430 homes as of April 2022. Annual Dues are $1540 and paid annually. Homes are valued between $300,000 - $2 million with private streets, lake Michigan water, a 24 hour guard-gated community, with jogging paths and a 60 acre spring-fed, fish-stocked lake. There is land for additional future development and are located in one of the fastest growing town in Northwest Indiana with great Crown Point schools.
HISTORY
Doubletree Lake Estates resides in Winfield, IN, which was established in 1993. The subdivision is the largest subdivision in the Town as was started about the same time as the town was formed. The original developer was responsible for bringing Lake Michigan water to the area which became a catalyst for growth in the area. The DBL Tree shopping center and Doubletree West were the first phases of the master subdivision with the private lake community to follow. Over 1 million cubic yards of clay were moved to create the Doubletree Lake which is a 60 acre lake of land excavated over an aquifer. In April 2016 a moratorium was instituted by the Winfield town to address a sewer issue. The sewers have been replaced and fixed with the moratorium lifted and as of November 2018 the morituroim has been lifted allowing for future growth and development.
